MUSIC
At Blackshear First United Methodist you get a blend of contemporary favorites as well as the powerful hymns on which our faith was founded. We begin each Sunday service with a time of praise and worship led by Jim Hitt on guitar and continue with traditional hymns accompanied by Tim Remmel on the piano. We find God to be worthy of more than one style of worship!
YOUTH
Youth are a vital part of our church family. We believe that students can have fun while growing in their walk with Jesus. Whether they are off to the mountains or the beach or right here at home, our students incorporate mission and service as a means of putting faith into action. We think of them not as the future leaders of the church, but as leaders right now.
B.L.A.S.T.
Our kids have a B.L.A.S.T. (Bible Learning And Singing Together) on Wednesday evenings at 6:30. They actively engage in practicing the principles of scripture in fun and creative ways. We appreciate the efforts of Kim, Lealane, Wendy, and Cindy in working with our children. We know children are a precious gift to our church.
LIFE GROUPS
God created us to do life together! We believe in the power of small group ministry as a means of creating community. It serves as a means of connecting people to God, one another, and the community at large. These groups meet primarily in people's homes for a meal, study, conversation, and prayer. Please see the pastor if you are interested in leading, hosting, or joining one of these groups.
Primetimers
For those who want to live life to the fullest.
The first Tuesday of the month, you will find this group meeting together for delicious food and quality fellowship. There are a variety of programs, door prizes, as well as lots of laughter. They are proof positive that fun is for every age.
They also represent some our most exemplary leaders who have served this church faithfully with giving hearts for many years. They are models of Christian living and have enriched our church family in so many ways. We love our Primetimers!
